RAISING £542.95p

and Nepalese MOMO's cooked by TIP

On Sunday the Bread and Roses pub on Ebrington held a last-minute fun-filled evening to raise crucial funds to buy essentials in Nepal, such as food, water, medical care and shelter.
The not-for-profit venue hosted local performers in an electric mix of entertainment.
These included American folk singers, belly dancers, poets, blues duos and trance DJs, who gave up their time for free.
By the end of the night a total of £542 had been raise, and because of its success another fundraiser is now in the pipeline.
The pub say 100 per cent of the money raised has already been donated to the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) via JustGiving in an attempt to get much needed support to the affected regions as soon as possible.

Event co-ordinator, Tim Francis, said: "I was motivated to do this because the earthquake caused so much devastation and loss of life in such a poor country.
"Their resolve in building hope for the future needs our money. I want to continue the fundraising momentum and organise future events to support the recovery from this disaster and show Nepal that Plymouth is supporting them."
Prizes were donated from a range of local businesses, restaurants, students and local artists and auctioned-off to the highest bidder.
And Bread and Roses Chef Tip Newman donated all profits taken from making and selling traditional Nepalese dumplings – Momos, to help increase the funds in what was billed a successful and upbeat night, with an important cause at its heart.
With news of another earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter Scale hitting the already devastated area any musician, artists, performers, filmmakers or businesses that can offer raffle prizes can get in contact with Tim directly at timofranc@googlemail.com
